Frequently Asked Questions

Are the puppies AKC registered?

Yes, the puppies are AKC registered. You will however, need to register as an owner and input your personal information pertaining to your puppy.

What is the difference between limited and full registration?

Limited registration means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. Limited registration is typically for people and dogs that are going to be pets, hunting companions, even hunt test or other AKC or UKC sanctioned event contestants. Full registration is for breeding and those that are being actively shown in the bench (dog show) conformation ring.

Are the puppies potty trained?

No, the puppies are not potty trained. We do however start the process by providing hay in our puppy rooms as a "potty area." Some of them catch on but are not by any means potty trained by the time they go to their forever homes! If you are interested in having us start the process please visit our "Puppy Socialization Training" section for the added service we provide.

Are the puppies crate trained?

No, they are not crate trained. If you are interested in having us start the crate training process please visit our "Puppy Socialization Training" section for the added service we provide.

How/when do I pick out my puppy?

Picking order is established in the order of deposits received. Picking of gender is upon payment of deposit. If you are the first one to put a deposit down on the litter then you are the first to get a scheduled pick up day and time and so on. Your pick up day and time will be reserved for you and your family only and will be scheduled around 8 weeks of age.

Can we see the puppies before pick up day?

Unfortunately we CANNOT allow anyone to come see the puppies before their scheduled pick up day and time. We need to limit the foot traffic around our adult dogs and puppies in order to ensure that they all stay healthy. We do our best to update the website and Facebook page with new pictures and information so always check back to see updates on your litter!

What do we feed our puppies?

Once the puppies are weaned off of their mom we feed them Lams large breed puppy chow.
